Our People

What makes ROYAL's programs great are its great people, all of whom participate in our cause because they want to make a difference for kids that can use a positive influence in their lives.

ROYAL is supervised by highly trained and credentialed staff and has the support of a growing group of dedicated mentors and volunteers who develop at-risk youth into self-actualized community leaders. They provide programs that focus on positive attention and nurturing as well as collaboration/linkage to other programs. Also included are academic support services and therapeutic interventions that provide guidance, positive role models and significant life skills training.

Our Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is ROYAL's governing body and provides oversight and guidance to the organization. It is composed of committed members who each bring unique professional experience in diverse professions as well as diverse cultural backgrounds.

	Maggie de Vera, MFT, M.A, CCHT Founder & President / CEO ROYAL was created by Ms. Maggie de Vera who, because of her years of experience as a Clinician, Administrator, Family and Child Advocate, Social Worker working in the field, and as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, recognized a gap in effective services for a growing population of forgotten children. Ms. de Vera has demonstrated success in working intensively with children, adults, and families who have significant behavioral, emotional and mental health issues. She is a well respected therapist, trainer and consultant in the Bay Area. Backed with extensive experience (of over 19 years) and education/training, Maggie is known in her field to work effectively with the most challenging cases and also currently runs a private practice in the San Francisco Bay Area as a Psychotherapist, Marriage Family Therapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist, Sex Therapist, Speaker/Trainer and Consultant.
	Gregg Giles Treasurer / Chief Financial Officer Gregg has held management roles for leading online marketing and entertainment publishing companies for nearly 20 years, including Acxiom Digital, Organic Media, Electronic Arts, Acclaim Entertainment, Sierra Online, 3DO and Medimedia. He joined ROYAL in 2007 to make a difference in his community and is focused on ROYAL's financial development and technological advancement.
